The German conversation hour offers experienced learners with independent conversational ability (level B2 upwards) a chance to practice speaking with others in a relaxed and informal group led by a native-speaker facilitator. The content of the sessions is decided by the participants, with members taking turns to propose a topic and source materials (newspaper articles, webpages, videos etc.) to use as a basis for discussion. The groups are ideal for those who wish to retain or improve upon the language skills they already have and who would like feedback from a native speaker.
We offer one-to-one appointments for any language learner wishing to discuss learning strategies and resources for independent study in their language. These appointments are also useful for anyone wishing to find out more about the options generally open to them in Cambridge for starting or continuing their language studies.
