French: Beginners Group A Beginners
This course has an engineering focus.
The course is based on the communicative method. This means that prime importance is given to the messages conveyed, and the course will be task-based.
You will be encouraged to use all media at your disposal in CUED Language Unit (video, audio, printed texts, CALL) to carry out a specific task successfully. You will be encouraged to work on your own, in pairs or in groups.
There will be 2 hours contact time per week with another 2 hours per week recommended for private study, homework, repetition, etc. There will be a series of assessments at the end of the course.

To give a good headstart in French for everyday communication with special emphasis on aural and oral skills.

- In order to take the exam, participants are required to have a minimum of 80% attendance
- All successful particpants receive a certificate, Engineering students in their second year can opt.....
